Born with hard gray skin, Durak was left to the wolves by his trollish parents. The wolves could not break the young troll's skin. They were driven off by a young dwarven hunter, who took pity on the poor beast that they where attacking.
The Dwarf’s name was Brandox, he was a warrior of the god Markov. He taught the young troll the ways of Markov, and gave him the name he now carries, Durak Stonehand. Though this was not the end to the trial of Durak’s young life. The children of the nearby villages picked on him endlessly, though he took this ridicule stalwartly, and never lifted a hand on the children. He even protected them during an orcish raid on the village.
As he aged he progressed farther into the Order of Markov, joining the Elite force known as Uhrbak, "The Anvil of Markov." To this Durak lends his immense strength, strong faith, and force of will to the other like-minded individuals of Uhrbak.
Durak turned out as he was raised to be: strong, unwavering, and relentless.
