A bit of info on the DoR
Quote
DAYS_OF_REDEMPTION
Level: 0
The Days of Redemption are the time in which the clans of Tharel struggle
against one another to obtain the greatest amount of power.  During the
one day competition, the clans will seek out and retrieve the holy and
unholy artifacts of the deities of the land and return them to their clan
halls.  Each deity with a clan that follows them will have a number of idols
that is proportional to their power ranking ('help clanpower').  Thus
the clan with the highest power ranking at the time of the beginning of the
competition will have the most idols out in the land.  All idols will be
valuable to all clans but the idol that is representative of each specific
clan's god will be more valuable to that clan.  The idols must be pushed
back to the clan halls and into the gallery of that hall for the clan to
receive credit for the idol.  An idol from your clan will be worth 10 points
in the competition and an idol from a different clan will be worth 5 points.

During the time between competitions, a 5% bank tax accumulates gold into
an account which serves as the reward for the clan who wins the competition.
The idols also have value after the competition.  They will bestow upon
the clan that possess them a 5 percent bonus for each one from their deity and
2 percent from other deities to tithing in the temple thus clans are encouraged to
invade ('help invade') other clan halls to recover these artifacts.

Idols are assigned as follows during the competition.
The clan with the highest clanpower 1 hour before the competition begins gets
1 bonus idol. All other clans get 1 idol per 200 points of clan power. The clan
power number is rounded up to determine the number of idols if it is more than
halfway to the next idol (i.e. if a clan has 540 pts of clan power, they will
get treated as if they have 600 and get three idols for the competition). The
minimum for any clan is two idols. Also all idols are removed from clanhalls
before the competition and at the end of the competition only 1 idol from each
clan will be left in the land.

During some events, idol numbers will vary by multipliers of 2 or 3
depending upon implementor discretion.

Note: Please, if you intend to participate in the Days of Redemption, play
only one guilded character during the competition. It alleviates any
suspicions of multiplaying and makes controversies and disputes easier for
the immortal staff to resolve.

Haha, I was just asking about that last night when I popped online. Shame that it ended, really. Assassinate the Mayor was always fun.

Twas a game of chance quite some time ago, you'd pay 10k (was for only dukes and duchess' and the mayor i think) basically, you would spin the wheel and a random thing would happen, either you'd get a rare perm item, or you could be blind/sleep/transported somewhere random.  or sent to the leviathan,  lose ALL ur qp and gold, instant killed, what ever....it was addicting   but the perm items were pretty sweet like perm sanc or berserk, all the detects ......etc

Indeed it was. That was the one thing I ased about when I came back "Who's the current Mayor?". I might have been laughed at like an idiot for asking that.
But still, I would definitely run for Mayor again. Gotta win it once out of all the times I've run...
Master! Master! Where's the dream that I've been after?

Hey Markov, dont forget to post the DoR results to the thread on TMS. Or maybe start a new thread in advertising for players.....

http://www.topmudsites.com/forums/mud-announcements/6588-days-redemption.html

If some players (yes you! & me, I guess) want to post afterwards saying how much fun they had. That might be good to!
